Hello, my name is Tim Foxley. I am British, from London, now living in Sweden. I am educated to Master’s degree level (with a Distinction in Peace and Conflict Studies). I have twenty five years of British government work under my belt (in the defence and intelligence sectors), four years at an internationally acclaimed think-tank and ten years as an independent political/military analyst. In 2005 I receive the MBE for my analytical and written work. My core skills are reading, writing, drafting, editing, researching, fact-checking and creative thinking. Some of my analytical work has been published. My English language skills are excellent. I have a good eye for detail, nuance, structure and layout. I have read extensively about the wars of the 20th century, particularly WW2, but am interested in a diverse range of historical subjects. As a freelance writer I have written seven books for a Kindle/Amazon publisher – five biographies of World War Two combat pilots, one of a Soviet WW2 army commander and one about a British commando group. I also have a ghost-writing contract with a Swedish publishing company and have written books about the 1879 Zulu War, the 1899-1902 Boer War and the 1943 Battle of Kursk. I am now researching to write books on the 1944 Battle of the Bulge and the 1982 Falklands conflict.
