Arjun G.

Hi, I'm Arjun! I'm a Mechanical Engineering graduate from Purdue University. Throughout my college career, I've worked as an Undergraduate Teaching Assistant for 2 years in Mechanical Engineering, Mathematics and Physics Courses. As a part of this position, I held multiple Study Sessions and Office Hours every week to tutor the students on the important concepts of these courses, clear any doubts/difficulties they are having and assist them with the homework assignments and exam prep. As a result of this experience, I have a strong understanding of what the most important fundamental concepts of these courses are, key insight on which parts students may find difficult understanding initially and exactly how to teach those concepts so that they can ace the courses! I've helped over 200 convert their Cs to As in these courses and I'm confident I can do the same as an online tutor. A little about my competitive examination background – I secured 1550 in my SAT with a perfect 800 in SAT Math. I also obtained 34 on my ACT. I've also completed 2 SAT Subject Tests - 800 on my SAT Physics and 780 on SAT Mathematics Level 2. As a Mechanical Engineer, I have completed 4 college level math courses (Linear Algebra, Differential Calculus, Multivariable Calculus and Engineering Mathematics) all with A grades. I have completed 4 college level physics courses (Modern Physics, Mechanics, Electricity and Magnetism and Optics) with all A grades. I've also worked as an SAT/AP tutor with the Princeton Review and Jamboree India. Within this position, I've tutored students in AP Calculus AB, AP Calculus BC, AP Physics 1, AP Physics 2 and AP Physics C. Other subjects I'm proficient in include Pre-Calculus, Pre-Algebra, Trigonometry, Calculus 1, Calculus 2, Geometry, Chemistry and Hindi. I love helping my fellow students succeed academically and try to elevate as much of the academic pressure I can. I've also tutored across several under-privileged schools across India and have worked under some of the top professors in the country as an Intern/Research Assistant. I look forward to helping you as much as I can.
