Full-Stack Engineer | Code Review, AI App Fixes & Production Readiness
I help teams get applications into a stable, production-ready state, whether that means building one properly from the start or taking over one that isn’t holding up, including apps put together quickly with AI coding tools. On existing projects, I begin with a review of the code, database, deployment and integrations. You get a plain list of what’s risky, what’s slowing things down, and what to fix first. Then I work through it: fixing bugs, tightening security and access control, speeding up slow queries, adding proper error handling and logging, and making deployments repeatable. On new projects, I set things up so they won’t need a rewrite in a year. That means a clear database design, a clean API structure, tests where they matter, and monitoring from the first release. AI-built code and AI features I’ve been writing and debugging production code for over eight years, most of it before AI coding tools existed, so I know how a system should hold together and can spot quickly where AI-written code has cut corners. A lot of what I review now are vibe-coded apps, built with tools like Cursor, Lovable, Claude code, Bolt or Replit. It works in a demo but breaks with real users: logic copied in several places, secrets in the code, no error handling, and database calls that slow down as data grows. I go through it, keep what’s sound, and rebuild what isn’t, so you don’t have to start over. If your product already has AI features, I review how they’re built, what they cost and how safe they are. That usually means choosing the right model for each task, trimming prompts, caching repeated calls, adding fallbacks when a provider is slow, and checking the answers are consistent. On the security side, I check that users can’t trick the AI into ignoring its instructions, that it only sees the data each user is allowed to access, and that API keys and customer information stay out of prompts and logs. The aim is lower bills, fewer surprises and no data leaks, without the feature getting worse. I also build new AI features, such as chat assistants, document search and agent workflows, to the same standard. I work with Python (Django, FastAPI and Flask), PostgreSQL and Redis on the backend, and React or Next.js on the frontend, deployed on AWS or DigitalOcean with Docker. For payments and third-party services, I plan for what happens when they’re slow or down, not just when they work. I handle delivery end to end, from planning through launch and support afterwards. I ask questions before writing code, keep you updated as the work moves, and stick to the dates I give. If you have an app that needs to be made reliable, an AI feature costing more than it should, or a new product you want built right from the start, send me the details.
