I'm a curious and dedicated biomedical researcher with nine years of engagement in R&D activities, particularly in the field of oncology. I hold a Ph.D. in Biochemistry from the University of Aveiro, Portugal, an M.Sc. in Molecular Biomedicine, and a B.Sc. in Biomedical Sciences. During these years in academic research, I had the opportunity to work in multidisciplinary and multicultural teams, including short-term visits to laboratories in Spain and the UK. I've authored/co-authored manuscripts in peer-reviewed journals (original research, reviews, and tutorials), book chapters (in Portuguese and English), extended abstracts in conference proceedings, and two theses (Ph.D. and M.Sc.). I conducted critical literature reviews, drafted manuscripts, performed data analysis, produced figures and graphics, and handled documents until final publication. I prepared posters and oral communications for presentation in national and international scientific meetings, as well as educational materials for different target audiences (from elementary school students to graduate students). More importantly, I'm a lifelong learner, always seeking learning opportunities and professional challenges. For instance, I'm currently being trained in clinical research and data science.
