Systematic Review & Meta-Analysis Biostatistician (R, GRADE, PRISMA)
I run the statistics and evidence synthesis behind systematic reviews and meta-analyses for clinicians, hospital research groups and health researchers: protocol, search, screening, risk of bias, pooling, GRADE, and manuscript-ready methods and results. Recent work: co-author of a PROSPERO-registered systematic review and three-level meta-analysis of spinal cord stimulation for chronic pain (286 arms, 237 studies, 15,465 patients; RoB 2, ROBINS-I, GRADE; cluster-robust meta-regression), posted on SSRN through Preprints with The Lancet (DOI 10.2139/ssrn.7433903), with clinicians from the University of Salamanca and Hospital Universitario Quirónsalud Madrid. SYSTEMATIC REVIEWS AND META-ANALYSIS • Protocols and PROSPERO registration (PICO/PECO, eligibility, outcomes, synthesis plan) • Search strategies for PubMed/MEDLINE, Embase, CENTRAL, CINAHL, Scopus and Web of Science • Dual screening and data extraction workflows, PRISMA 2020 flow diagrams • Risk of bias: RoB 2, ROBINS-I, Newcastle-Ottawa • Random-effects meta-analysis (REML, Hartung-Knapp) with prediction intervals • Three-level models and robust variance estimation for dependent effect sizes • Single-arm and proportion meta-analysis • Meta-regression, subgroup and sensitivity analyses, small-study effects • GRADE certainty of evidence and Summary of Findings tables • Reproducible R code (metafor, meta, clubSandwich) with every analysis INDEPENDENT STATISTICAL REVIEW • Pre-submission review of statistical methods and reporting • Point-by-point responses to statistical reviewer comments • Re-analysis and validation of existing results ALSO FOR RESEARCH TEAMS: SURVEY AND LATENT-VARIABLE STATISTICS • SEM and PLS-SEM (AMOS, SmartPLS, lavaan, seminr): measurement and structural models, HTMT, bootstrapped effects • Mediation and moderation (Hayes PROCESS), multigroup analysis • Scale development and validation: EFA, CFA, reliability, measurement invariance • Regression (linear, logistic, hierarchical), ANOVA/MANOVA, non-parametric tests Software: R, Stata, SPSS, AMOS, SmartPLS, Python HOW A PROJECT RUNS 1. You send the research question, design, data and deadline. 2. I write a short analysis plan first, so every decision is agreed and defensible. 3. Analysis with reproducible code, tables and figures. 4. Methods and results written to PRISMA 2020 or journal reporting standards, with support on reviewer comments. RECORD PhD, University of Manchester. Cochrane Interactive Learning: Conducting Systematic Reviews. GRADE guideline methodology (PAHO). Peer-reviewed publications as contributing statistician. I publish as Tayyab Fraz: ORCID 0000-0002-8641-7821 · Google Scholar: Tayyab Fraz · Web of Science ResearcherID QUT-7502-2026 Send your research question, the stage you are at and your deadline. I will tell you what the analysis needs and how long it will take.
