Abu z.

Senior Ruby on Rails developer with 5+ years of experience building production SaaS applications and backend systems. I help businesses maintain, improve, and scale existing Ruby on Rails applications used by real users. Rails 7, Hotwire, API Development I specialize in Ruby on Rails, Hotwire (Turbo and Stimulus), and modern JavaScript frameworks like VueJS, ReactJS, and TypeScript. I’ve successfully delivered enterprise-level solutions for industries such as healthcare, education, finance, e-commerce, and social services. Most of my work involves stepping into ongoing Ruby on Rails projects where stability and performance matter. Clients usually bring me in to fix backend issues, clean up existing code, add new features, and keep the application running smoothly in production. I work primarily on SaaS platforms, internal tools, and API-driven applications. This includes backend development, database optimization, third-party API integrations, background job processing, and production support. I focus on writing clear, maintainable code and shipping changes safely. What I typically help with: - Ruby on Rails application development and maintenance - SaaS platforms and subscription-based systems - Backend development and business logic - REST API development and third-party API integrations - PostgreSQL performance tuning and query optimization - Background jobs using Sidekiq - Stripe and payment gateway integrations - AWS deployment and production troubleshooting - Bug fixing and performance improvements I’ve worked on multi-channel shipping systems, AI-assisted internal tools, and long-running SaaS products that handle real business operations. These are applications used daily, not short-term demo projects. Clients usually hire me when they need a senior Rails developer who can take ownership of an existing application and work long-term.
