Alison O.

My name is Alison Ortony, and I have developed exceptional writing and proofreading skills as a perpetual student. More recently, I worked as a graduate assistant during my final semesters. During this time, I edited and proofread dissertation chapters for more than 20 students. These chapters were all written in APA 6 or 7, and I was responsible for ensuring correct grammar, punctuation, accurate APA formatting, citations, and references. Since then, I have expanded the types of work that I edit to include fiction. When reading fiction, I maintain my intense focus on grammar, punctuation, and clarity while maintaining the characters' and author's voices. This requires a careful adaptation of editing to ensure meaning and tone are clearly expressed.
