Gustavo R.

I help authors, publishers, and creative teams turn fictional worlds into distinctive visual experiences through fantasy illustration, book cover art, character design, environment design, and visual development. My specialty is working beyond individual illustrations. I can help establish the visual identity of a fantasy world and then develop it consistently across covers, characters, locations, artifacts, key art, and promotional artwork. What I can help with: • Fantasy & epic fantasy illustration • Book covers and key art • Character design & character illustration • Environment & location design • Worldbuilding & visual development • Creatures, weapons, artifacts & props • Cinematic narrative illustration • Visual assets for book series, TTRPGs and games I particularly enjoy long-term collaborations where I can become familiar with the world, its characters and its visual language, allowing each new piece to build naturally on what came before. One of my current projects began as a single fantasy book cover and evolved into an ongoing visual compendium for the author's world, encompassing character illustrations, locations, artifacts and larger narrative artwork. If you're building a fantasy world and need an illustrator who can help give it a cohesive visual identity, I'd love to hear about it.
