Hello, my name is Tammi! I was born and raised in Denver, Colorado, married for 37 years, and have four wonderful daughters, ages 35 to 19. I homeschooled my girls for 28 years and wrapped that up in the spring of 2022. Being able to support my youngest daughter as she Irish dances is a highlight in my life. As an avid reader, I have been casually proofreading everything I read for most of my adulthood. Missed errors are inevitable, but I want to help others have as clean of copy as is humanly possible. Being detail-oriented, I find missed errors in all writing genres and want to help make that writing better. Over the last five-plus years, I have enjoyed Beta reading and proofreading for various fictional authors, including Samantha Price, Michelle Warren, and Ashley Emma. Volunteering many hours proofreading with Project Gutenberg's Distributed Proofreaders has exposed me to many different genres of writing over the last few years. In addition, I completed the Khan Academy grammar course and proofreading training with Proofread Anywhere, receiving my General Proofreading: Theory and Practice Certificate, which helped hone my knowledge of grammar even more. I recently started my own freelance proofreading business, Proudly Proofed LLC, to help others make their writing awesome! I will find and mark errors and issues regarding spelling, grammar, style guide adherence, punctuation, capitalization, typos, improper word choice, and double words. Upon request, I will also suggest clearer word usage, rewording, or rephrasing awkward sentence structure for better flow and readability. I have worked with content themes including Fiction—Amish, historical, clean romance, westerns, mysteries, adventure, fairy tale, fantasy, thrillers, young adult and children's books; speeches, short stories, non-fiction, self-help, personal essays, reports, student papers—high school and college level, and blogs.
