I design, build, and secure infrastructure for systems that can't afford downtime, and I write the backend services that run on it. For 6 years, I've worked on defense and space software at Terma. Today I'm technical lead for a nationwide, security-hardened Kubernetes platform spanning multiple data centers and hundreds of edge devices, fully GitOps-managed and built for high availability. Before that, I was a Java and C++ developer and software architect on command-and-control systems, and built Kubernetes self-service tooling for ESA/EUMETSAT scientists. On the infrastructure side, I build and run Kubernetes platforms on Rancher, RKE2, and the SUSE stack. I deliver through GitOps with Fleet or Flux and Helm, secure them with Vault and Cilium, and use Istio for service mesh. On-prem, air-gapped, and security-hardened setups are my specialty. On the backend side, I build Java/Spring microservices, package them as Helm charts, deploy them via GitOps (Flux), and test them end-to-end on your existing cluster, whether it runs on AWS or on-prem. I also design streaming data pipelines with Kafka, Flink, and MongoDB for high-volume data. As an architect and technical lead, I do design reviews, modernize legacy systems, and mentor teams. I've led teams of up to 9 engineers. I work across the full lifecycle: from initial setup to migrations, upgrades, modernization, and ongoing maintenance of production systems.
