I build and maintain small-business websites with WordPress, or with Eleventy and Netlify using GitHub-based deploys, plus Google Search Console and local SEO work where the scope calls for it. I run Columbia Valley Web Designs, a small web design business in Washington State. We agree on the scope, inputs and acceptance checks before I start. Recent work: an event rental company site and a bilingual English/Spanish painting contractor site, both built with Claude Code and live since October 2026 (see my portfolio). I'm a full-stack developer with 5+ years of experience in JavaScript, PHP and Python, including test automation with Selenium and Appium. Since 2023 I've worked on a long-running WordPress and JavaScript contract here on Upwork. Python data work: cleaning CSV or Excel files, validating records, building data pipelines and connecting APIs. I write scripts with automated tests, so the result can be checked and run again. A first milestone can focus on one input format, one integration or one clearly defined output. AI-assisted development: I set up Claude Code and OpenAI Codex workflows for small teams, including repo instructions, review steps, guardrails and tests, scoped to your actual project. How I work: I use AI coding assistants to draft and test, and I personally review and verify everything I deliver. I won't put your data into AI tools without your agreement. You'll get a short handover covering how to run the work and check the agreed result. If a requirement is unclear, I'll ask before treating it as part of the scope.
