Embedded Firmware Engineer | Linux Drivers, BSP, RTOS | RISC-V, ARM

Senior Embedded Linux and Firmware engineer, device drivers, BSPs, board bring-up. Eclipse ThreadX committer, seL4 maintainer, Linux Kernel contributor. I work where hardware meets software. If your board does not boot, your driver drops data, or your firmware has to run on silicon nobody has ported to yet, that is my day job rather than a side interest. WHAT I DO - Linux device drivers (SPI, I2C, PCIe, MIPI-CSI) written to upstream quality - Board bring-up and BSP development, from schematic to booting userspace - Yocto and Buildroot builds, device tree work, U-Boot and secure boot - RTOS ports and integration: Zephyr, Eclipse ThreadX, FreeRTOS, seL4 - Firmware CI/CD and hardware-in-the-loop test automation - C/C++ performance profiling and rescue work on code you did not write VERIFIABLE TRACK RECORD - Official Eclipse ThreadX committer, Eclipse Foundation. I review and merge changes across the RV64 and RV32 ports, and wrote the RV32/GNU port and the QEMU-virt BSP. - Official seL4 microkernel maintainer for BananaPi BPI-F3 (SpacemiT K1): kernel init, peripheral drivers, 100% seL4-test pass rate. - Linux kernel patch merged upstream in v6.20 (spi-cadence-quadspi) - Booted Linux 6.10 on a custom RISC-V software simulator. - Built an AWS verification suite for a RISC-V vector processor: 700% throughput increase. - Maintain Cloud-V, a RISC-V CI platform: 97.6% uptime, 120+ users. STACK Languages: C, C++, Python, Bash, RISC-V and x86 assembly, SystemVerilog Kernels and RTOS: Linux kernel, seL4, Eclipse ThreadX, Zephyr, FreeRTOS Low level: device drivers, bootloaders, linker scripts, BSPs, device tree, DMA, interrupts, memory-mapped I/O, cross-toolchains Silicon: RISC-V RV32/RV64, ARM Cortex-M and Cortex-A, STM32, ESP32, i.MX, StarFive, SpacemiT Tools: QEMU, Spike, GDB, Yocto, Buildroot, Git, CI/CD, Make, CMake, pytest CREDENTIALS Linux Foundation: LFD114 Porting Software to RISC-V, LFD123 RT-Thread RTOS on RISC-V, LFD103 Linux Kernel Development, LFD110 Introduction to RISC-V. Two papers presented at RISC-V Summit EU 2026. Send me your board, your datasheet, or the driver that is misbehaving, and I will come back with a concrete assessment of what it takes to make it work.
