Zoe l.

I’m a native English speaker from Wales, fluent in both English and Welsh, and currently working as the Head of the English Department in a primary school. I have a strong passion for clear, accurate, and engaging communication, and I would welcome the opportunity to proofread your book. I bring extensive experience in proofreading, scriptwriting, and voice-over work, all of which have strengthened my attention to language, tone, and flow. In my role as an English lead, I regularly proofread and edit extended texts, scripts, curriculum materials, and professional documents, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and readability while preserving the author’s voice. Alongside my work in education, I have over ten years of experience writing and editing e-commerce copy, particularly Amazon listings. This has sharpened my ability to craft and refine text so it is clear, persuasive, and polished. My scriptwriting and voice-over experience further support my proofreading work, as reading text aloud develops a strong instinct for rhythm, pacing, clarity, and natural language flow—key elements in producing high-quality written work. My bilingual English–Welsh background allows me to approach language with nuance and precision, and I am highly detail-oriented, reliable, and deadline-focused. I would be happy to complete a short sample edit or provide voice or script samples if required. Thank you for considering my application. I look forward to the opportunity to support your project and help ensure your book is of the highest possible standard.
