CFD & Thermal Analysis Engineer | ANSYS Fluent | Heat Transfer

Need to understand pressure drop, flow distribution, or cooling performance? I help clients investigate fluid-flow and heat-transfer problems using ANSYS Fluent, CFD, and engineering analysis. I am a Mechanical Engineer with project experience in conjugate heat transfer, internal flows, and transient multiphase simulation. I focus on appropriate physics, mesh quality, convergence, and clear interpretation so you understand what the results mean for your design. HOW I CAN HELP • ANSYS Fluent simulations for internal flow, pressure drop, and heat transfer • Conjugate heat transfer (CHT) and convective cooling analysis • VOF multiphase and evaporation-condensation modeling • Geometry preparation, fluid-domain extraction, and meshing • Boundary-condition and solver setup, convergence troubleshooting, and mesh-sensitivity studies • Comparison with experimental data or published benchmarks where available • Temperature, pressure, and velocity plots, heat-transfer calculations, and technical reports • SolidWorks modeling and CAD preparation for simulation RELEVANT PROJECT EXPERIENCE Conjugate heat transfer in a heated channel — Developed a 2D ANSYS Fluent model of a heated obstacle at Reynolds numbers from 200 to 2000. Implemented a parabolic inlet profile with a UDF, assessed mesh sensitivity, and compared Nusselt numbers with a published reference correlation. Pulsating heat pipe — Developed a 3D transient Fluent model for my undergraduate thesis using VOF and the Lee evaporation-condensation model. Investigated water filling ratios of 40%, 50%, and 60%, temperature behavior, and thermal resistance. 3D T-junction flow — Built a steady incompressible OpenFOAM case using blockMesh, snappyHexMesh, simpleFoam, and the k-omega SST model, with pressure and velocity visualization in ParaView. WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT A clearly defined simulation scope, documented assumptions and boundary conditions, convergence and mesh checks appropriate to the project, and a report explaining the findings and limitations. I can support the complete workflow or help with a specific stage of an existing model. My background also includes teaching Fluid Mechanics and Thermal Engineering, which supports clear technical explanations and communication. Tools include ANSYS Fluent, SolidWorks, ParaView, and Excel, with basic working knowledge of OpenFOAM and Python. My scientific-computing training includes introductory NumPy, SciPy, and Matplotlib. Send me your geometry, operating conditions, required outputs, deadline, and any available reference data through Upwork. We can define the analysis needed to answer your engineering questions.
