Robb T.
Fractional CFO
I am an experienced CFO/Finance Leader with a track record of working successfully with companies of all sizes. My experience has enabled me to be comfortable working as a global leader with an international team or operating as a one-person team in a pre-revenue start-up environment. I have worked in a variety of industries, SaaS, Custom Software Development, Industrial and Residential Services, Real Estate Development, Property Management, and Healthcare. Over the past several years I have been working with companies as a fractional CFO. It has been such a great experience. I have been able to get hands-on experience with companies in different industries and at different stages of the business life cycle; from pre-revenue to exit. I am happy to tailor my involvement to the needs of my clients. Some companies have needed me to handle all accounting and finance work and engaged me for 30-40 hours per week while other clients have contracted me for 10-15 hours per month to act as a sounding board for their CEO. I am honored to work with clients in any situation where I might be able to help My career began with financial and operational roles at the following companies: • Arthur Andersen – Turnaround/Bankruptcy Consultant • Oracle - Director of Financial Operations in the Telecom Sales Vertical • MCIC Vermont – VP of Finance and Claims (Medical Malpractice RRG) • Norrell – Financial Consultant to the CFO (staffing company) • ClientLink – VP of Finance (custom application development) Fifteen years ago, I co-founded Enablus, an IT Consulting firm where I was the CFO. Co-founding a company was a terrific learning experience; however, after five years of prosperity, the company was no longer able to support multiple partners, As such, I made the decision to leave Enablus and venture into a new opportunity as the Director of Finance for The Center for Health Transformation (a Healthcare Think Tank/Consulting Firm founded by former Speaker of the House Newt Gingrich). The company was no longer viable after Mr. Gingrich announced his candidacy for President of the United States. I helped wind down the company and then went to work as Vice President of Finance/Shared Services for EPI-Use Labs (a multinational SaaS company) where I led an international team of finance, HR and contract professionals with team members in the UK, Germany, South Africa and the United States. After EPI-USE Labs, I was the CFO and a member of the Board of Directors for Xcaliber Technologies (an international SaaS startup company) and Xcaliber Infotech (a sister company supplying all software development in Pune, India) where my primary responsibilities focused on all finance and accounting, securing and finalizing investment capital and all M&A activity. More recently, I was the CFO of a conglomeration of 12 real estate development companies, a property management company, and a commercial brokerage company. For the past four years I have been working as a fractional CFO for companies in healthcare, software, mortgage brokerage and non-emergency transportation. An additional note that will help give you a better feel for my core values and beliefs. Prior to attending college, I worked for my father-in-law’s grocery distribution business in southern Utah for ten years. It was here that I learned perhaps the greatest two lessons of my career. The first lesson I learned was to do “whatever needed to be done.” To that end, during my time working there I learned out of necessity to drive an eighteen-wheeler and to be a meat cutter in a grocery store. The second important lesson I learned was the importance of customer service. I learned to do whatever a customer needed. We were a small company and each and every customer was the lifeblood of the company. I learned very quickly that is far less expensive to keep a customer than it is to obtain a new one. These lessons have stuck with me throughout my career and continue to serve me well to this day..
