Have you ever yearned to release those ideas trapped in your imagination - but you’re frustrated every time you put pen to paper? As a writer, I would love to partner with you in getting those ideas out of your head and into print. When I think of how writing has impacted my life - the joy, knowledge, and encouragement it has brought me - I am inspired to help others with their own writing, so that they too can reach people with their own unique perspectives just as I have been. Writing has the ability to connect people across time and across cultures - someone can read a work by an individual who lives far away, speaks a different language, even perhaps who lived centuries ago, someone they will never meet - and can glean from this person’s view of the world. The thing I appreciate the most about writing however, is that it can drive us to become better versions of ourselves. I have never tired of spending hours with my nose buried in a book and becoming absorbed in the imaginations of many varied planes - I have adventured through the fantasy land of Narnia with C. S. Lewis, done mental gymnastics at a moral dilemma presented to the reader by John Steinbeck, and realized how intriguing the world of politics is after reading George Orwell. I have an interest in just about any field that could be written about; theology, history, the great outdoors, philosophy, spirituality, travel, health, fantasy, fiction, nonfiction, the list goes on and on. The point is, story, learning, and reading have always been major parts of my life, and still are. It is not only the written word that has kindled my passion for the power of learning and story, it is also largely to be attributed to my background of world traveling. My view of the world has been enriched by my travels through North America, Europe, and the Middle East. These adventures have instilled in me a fascination for culture, and the stories of the human spirit that take their forms in the peoples of the world. All this has served to add an open quality to my writing that makes me able to effortlessly write in any form. My vision as a writer simply stated is this; to refresh and bring encouragement by focusing on uplifting and redemptive themes. I can edit, beta read, and proofread any medium of writing as well. I am a native English speaker, and have read and written extensively in english. I have perfect punctuation and grammar, and can aid in re-wording text to make it more sophisticated, and can catch typos and grammar mistakes. I have a great eye for detail and can make suggestions that will improve the overall content of your writing, while at same time preserving your voice. When evaluating potential projects I will be clear if I do not think I am the best fit for what you are looking for. It is vital to me that anyone who considers hiring me knows that if they do not think my writing style or way of thinking would be a good fit for their project, that I want them to find someone else.
