I have over 8 years of experience working in gluten-free and vegan bakeries, where I have created and perfected the art of gluten free baking and vegan/raw desserts, as well as savory meal recipes. I have developed hundreds of recipes for bakeries and restaurants, ranging from gluten-free, dairy-free, sugar-free, vegan, and raw desserts, as well as traditional recipes with no dietary restrictions. I have also worked with a highly acclaimed private home chef for the last several months, learning the ins and outs of meal planning and meal prep of high-end home delivered meals. I have been hands on and have helped create beautiful, delicious meals for this chef's private clients. A portion of these meals have also been gluten and dairy free. I have experience in managing social media accounts for bakeries and restaurants. I ran an Instagram account for a local restaurant that expanded their following from 2,000 to 10,000 in 4 months. I also posted daily 'stories' for these accounts. I used my own photos and love food photography. I have taken professional food photos for several local restaurants, bakeries, and businesses in the Kansas City area. All the photos below are my own and are all products I have created. I am a freelance writer for an school-centric eNewsletter focusing on mental and physical wellness for school employees. I write a short monthly nutrition piece focusing on the topic of the month. This article always includes wellness tips and a healthy recipe. I am currently working with a nonprofit organization in Kansas City, Missouri to help create a dignified, nutritious meal program for the unhoused population, using imperfect produce that would otherwise be in landfills. We receive thousands of pounds of imperfect produce that was either rejected from restaurants and groceries stores, or overstock items. We use this produce to create nutrient-dense homestyle meals for those in need. I am in charge of creating a weekly meal menu, and in the last 13 weeks of 2021 we diverted over a ton (2,440 lbs) of produce headed for landfills into meals.
