Matt A.
Fractional COO & Business Coach | Ops Systems + AI Automation
Most owners doing $500k to $5M don't have a strategy problem. They have a nobody-owns-it problem. The work gets done because you're the one holding it together, and the week you leave, it wobbles. I'm Matt. I've started 7 companies and built 3 of them past a couple million in sales. The biggest did over $5 million a year with 110 people on payroll. I've also lost money on a few, which is where I learned most of what I know. I still own and run two businesses today, so I'm not coaching out of a book. For the last three years I've done this for other owners full time. About 17 clients at a time, mostly $500k to $10M. A weight loss clinic was doing $200k when we started three years ago and is at $700k now, after we got clear on who she was actually for and moved her off running 100 clients from her personal cell phone onto a system that handles 300+. A car importer doubled his sales once we systematized his operations, found him a Meta agency that could actually run ads, and got the right people hired and trained. I also stepped in as interim CEO at a custom home builder six months from bankruptcy, got it back on a path that worked, and handed it to the owners. Three things I actually do: Get your poop in a group. One source of truth for the work. A scorecard you look at every week. Real numbers per job or per customer instead of a gut feel. Accountability that doesn't need you in the room. Build the AI that pays for itself. I built this stuff in my own companies first. My scorecard pulls from about 30 places and runs roughly 80% on autopilot. Recent client builds: an app that takes a clinic's before-and-after client photos and turns them into finished marketing graphics, a job that pulls the weekly webinar off Zoom every Thursday, trims it and publishes it to YouTube, and an admin app replacing a coaching company's pile of Google Sheets with real reporting on caseload, hours and revenue per coach. Fixed-price projects, not hourly. Make marketing and sales repeatable. Not a campaign. A system that produces the same result next month, and the month after. Here's why I hire me: I've been in the chair, I'll do the work alongside you, and I'll tell you when you're wrong. Here's why I wouldn't: I'm a C+ at writing code from scratch, and I'm not a designer or a copywriter. If you need a specialist in one narrow tactic, I'm not your guy. Stack I actually use: Claude and Claude Code, Vercel, Make, Airtable, Supabase, Looker Studio, GoHighLevel, HubSpot, Trello, ClickUp, Google Workspace, EOS/Traction. If your team runs on something else, I'll adapt. The system matters more than the tool. The goal I care about: you take a four-week vacation and the business does great without you. If that sounds like what you're after, let's grab 30 minutes and see if we're a fit. Cheers, Matt from Philadelphia
