Laura C.

I have nearly three decades experience working within the media, predominantly in news; giving me enviable levels of experience in the communications industry, across broadcast, online, and print media. I have previously been editor of radio stations, with responsibility for the website news as well, and am currently editor of an online newspaper and a business/lifestyle magazine. I am responsible for planning all of the content, writing some articles, editing other people's writing, proofreading all articles, and publishing the online and print content, including on social media. I have enviable experience in writing, proofreading, and editing which I also put to good use providing freelance services including copy writing, editing, and proofreading. I have been pleased to help a number of clients through Upwork and off-line, as well as supporting relatives' and friends' businesses and charities with copy writing, proofreading, podcast recording, PR support, and more. I am degree educated in English and Media Studies, I am a naturally competent speller with good grammatical skills and a keen eye for detail. I am gifted at writing in a colloquial manner, and can also produce more formal text. I enjoy writing and proofreading and am keen to share my talents and passion for the work with others.
