Enrique III L.
Internal Business Systems Developer | Workflows, CRM, ERP, Migrations
Most businesses do not need new software. They need the system they already run on to stop needing a spreadsheet beside it. That is the work I have done for thirteen years: 45 internal systems across eight countries, for universities, an international NGO, a government department, lenders, retailers and field-service operators. WHAT I BUILD • Approval workflows with a real audit trail, including the exception path that exists because the official route is too slow • CRMs, quoting and job tracking, from first enquiry to install date • Inventory and ERP, including barcode label printing and landed-cost tracking • Membership portals and member-facing services • Document generation to your exact Word and Excel templates, populated from your records rather than retyped • Dashboards and reporting that a finance officer can take into a board meeting • Field and dispatch tools that work on a phone, away from the office • Data migrations off systems that are dying or already dead WHAT USUALLY BRINGS PEOPLE TO ME A process that does not fit any product you can buy. Two departments using the same word for different stages. Twelve years of records in a system nobody will touch. A report that takes four hours a week to assemble by hand. A tool that was right at twenty people and is wrong at eighty. HOW I WORK Nothing gets built without the person who does the work in the room, not only their manager. The manager knows the policy; the person knows the exceptions, and the exceptions are the requirements. On a migration I will not quote a fixed price on a database I have not opened. I run a paid trial migration on a copy first, and it produces two tables: what moved, and what did not with a reason against every record. On one recent project that was 3,315 records moved and 2,362 staff accounts each accounted for in writing. Payment stages tie to things you can see working, not to dates on a calendar. CONNECTS TO WHAT YOU ALREADY RUN HR systems including BambooHR, association membership databases, QuickBooks, Monday, PandaDoc, Google Workspace, Stripe, PayPal, PayMongo, Typeform, Webflow, and single sign-on via Auth0 or SAML. STACK React, NextJS, Vue, Node, Python, Laravel, PostgreSQL, Supabase, AWS. Happy to go deeper if that matters to you, happy to skip it if it does not. FOR AGENCIES I take build and migration work under your brand and you keep the client relationship. Subcontract rates differ from my listed rate. BACKGROUND Postgraduate Certificate in Information Technology Management, Asian Institute of Management. MSc Information Technology (System Development) and BSc Information Technology (Web Development). Nine years teaching web and mobile development at undergraduate level alongside the client work. WHAT I WILL TELL YOU EARLY If your budget is better spent on a tool you can configure, I will say so. If nobody on your side can make decisions weekly, I will say that too, because a build stalls on unanswered questions far more often than on technical ones. Most client work sits behind logins and the contracts do not allow screenshots, so I describe clients by sector and show demo systems built with invented data.
