WHAT I DO Backend development in Node.js: designing and building REST APIs, business logic and PostgreSQL data models for web and SaaS applications. Hardening existing applications: reviewing a codebase for security and performance problems, fixing what the review finds, and adding automated tests so later changes stay safe. Code review and pull-request workflow: small, reviewable pull requests with clear notes, so you can see what changed and why before it ships. Test data: building synthetic test data so features can be tested properly without touching real customer records. API integrations: connecting applications to third-party services, including financial-data APIs and business platforms such as Salesforce, HubSpot, WordPress and Zendesk. Full-stack delivery: React and Next.js front ends on top of the APIs I build, for SaaS and data-heavy web applications. RECENT WORK Some clients ask for confidentiality, so this work is described without naming them. Personal-finance application (2026): backend engineering on a finance app that handles sensitive financial data. The work covered backend hardening, security and performance improvements, automated testing and QA, synthetic test data, and a financial-data API integration, delivered under an NDA through a structured pull-request workflow. It started as a short paid trial and continued as an ongoing hourly engagement with the same client. ERP SaaS platform: a SaaS application that collects and analyses public-sector leads from around the world. It is integrated with Salesforce for uploading documents, video tutorials and ebooks, and draws content from WordPress, HubSpot, Divi and Zendesk. Built with Node.js, Nuxt.js and React. Sports data platform: full-stack development on a website that delivers real-time and historical sports data feeds across a range of leagues and events. Travel planning web app: a full-stack React and Node.js build for a trip planner that brings a daily itinerary, local recommendations, dining and activities, optimised routes and travel tips into one place.
