Clayton S.
AutoCAD drafting and design, 3D Printing and Technical writing
Good Day Thanks for taking a look at my skill set and an opportunity to work together. I have over 3 decades in drafting mostly electrical design, but also in mechanical, pneumatics and architecture. I have run several design departments and a custom panel shop for a decade. Most of all I consider myself a draftsman by trade, someone who knows how to assemble technical documentation, including standards and manuals. I do many things like conduit & cable schedules and other calculations, safety circuits and old school relay logic. I began in architecture drafting in high school and worked for an architect after school. I learned AutoCAD in 1988 and I went the professional mentorship path. My ability to self-educate and the addition to the mentorship I received, enhanced by the roles I held and it put me in positions not held by many without degrees or master electricians. In addition to my 4 decades of AutoCAD, I can use multiple other CAD software both 2D and 3D packages, including MicroStation. I feel I would be a good match for many positions in many companies. That is the summary of my capabilities. Please consider I didn’t only work a desk, I ran a panel shop, tested equipment up to 15kva, installed, ran R&D and trained designers, electricians and engineers. That’s a summary of my career, but just scratches the surface of my actual work in controls, instruments, MCC’s, switchgear, PLC’s, VFD’s and automation. Thank you for consideration, Clayton Smith
