Grant Writer, GPC | Proposal Writer | RFP Bids | Nonprofits, Startups

Grant writer and funding strategist. I have contributed to successful grant applications totaling over $2 million for nonprofits, startups, and community organizations across federal, state, foundation, and corporate funding programs, and I write competitive bids for government contracts and RFPs. Most organizations do not need another list of grants. They need to know which opportunities they genuinely qualify for, what is missing before they apply, and who will write and submit an application that holds up against the funder's review criteria. Government solicitations work the same way: the winning bid is the one that is compliant, complete, and responsive to the stated evaluation criteria, not the one with the best story. That is the work I do, end to end. What I deliver: - Grant prospect research with verified eligibility, deadlines, award ranges, and official application links - Funding fit and go or no-go assessments, so that your time goes only to opportunities you can realistically win - Grant readiness reviews covering registrations such as SAM.gov, UEI, and 501(c)(3) status, plus financials and required attachments - Letters of Inquiry, full proposals, need statements, executive summaries, and application responses - Grant budgets, budget narratives, logic models, measurable outcomes, and evaluation plans - Federal and R&D applications, including NIH and NSF SBIR and STTR project framing, aims, milestones, and commercialization content - Government contract and RFP bids: solicitation analysis, bid or no-bid decisions, technical and management narratives, required forms and certifications, and pricing schedules - Procurement registration and set-aside strategy across SAM.gov, Cal eProcure, and agency portals such as PlanetBids, including Small Business, Micro Business, DVBE, and SDVOSB pathways - RFP, RFQ, and RFI responses for public sector, prime contractor, and commissioned work - Grant calendars, submission tracking, follow up, reporting, and renewal planning Sectors: maternal and child health, behavioral health, youth and education, workforce and economic development, housing and construction, community arts, technology and consumer startups, small business, and public sector transportation and healthcare services contracting. Recent awards: - $25,000 CORAL Pilot Research Program award through the Morehouse School of Medicine Center for Maternal Health Equity, now in contract - $50,000 GLOW award through the New Jersey Maternal and Infant Health Innovation Authority, secured for a national doula organization and its partner nonprofit - $50,000 award from the United States Department of Justice Office on Violence Against Women for a workplace domestic violence initiative - A Robert Wood Johnson Foundation award for a life sciences company, converted from a Letter of Inquiry - A funded Cartier Women's Initiative application for a founder-led apparel studio Also authored and submitted: a $130,000 Missouri Foundation for Health application for advancing health equity in Black maternal care, and a $40,000 community grant application to a Kansas City research foundation. Government contracting: I completed a multi-year engagement for a California non-emergency medical transportation operator, researching and preparing bids for state, federal, and regional transport contracts. The work covered California Department of State Hospitals, CalVet, Department of Veterans Affairs VISN 21, and Sacramento Regional Transit solicitations, alongside Medi-Cal provider enrollment and FTA Section 5310 capital funding pathways, and the set-aside certifications each one required. The engagement closed with a 5-star rating and a client endorsement. How I work: I confirm eligibility before I write a single line. I keep one shared tracker, so you always know what is submitted, what is pending, and what is due. I write to the funder's stated review criteria rather than to a template. I do not promise awards, because funders and contracting officers make those decisions; what I control is whether your submission is competitive, compliant, and on time. Tell me your organization type, your funding goal, your target amount, and your deadline. I will tell you honestly whether it is worth pursuing and what the strongest next move is.
