Medical Doctor & Medical VA |RCM, Prior Auth, Claims, Denials, A/R

I'm a medical doctor by profession, and I've chosen to build my remote career in healthcare administration as a medical virtual assistant. Here's how I got here. I trained as a medical officer, so I know what a clinical note is meant to say, why a payer questions a diagnosis code, and what goes wrong at the front desk when a patient's coverage isn't checked. That understanding is the most useful thing I bring to a practice's billing and admin work. Along the way I also worked as a virtual assistant outside healthcare, mostly Airbnb and short-term rental support. I handled guest communication, customer service and Google My Business for those clients, and it taught me how remote work runs well: replying fast, keeping people updated, and owning a task until it's done. My clients there rated the work highly. But healthcare is where my training, my interest and my best work come together, so that's where I'm focused now. What I do for clinics and billing teams: insurance eligibility and benefits verification, prior authorization submission and follow-up, claims review and submission, denial review and root-cause work, EOB/ERA reconciliation, A/R follow-up and payment posting, ICD-10 and CPT coding support, patient scheduling and pre-registration, EHR/EMR documentation and chart preparation, and writing SOPs so the team can repeat what works. I care about the numbers a practice lives on. I work toward a clean claim rate of 95% or higher and A/R days of 30 or less, with fewer denials and more recovered from aged accounts. I am careful with patient information and treat HIPAA as part of how I work, not an extra step. Tools I have worked in: Epic, athenahealth, DrChrono, Availity, AdvancedMD, eClinicalWorks, SimplePractice, Doxy.me, Monday, com, Google Workspace and Microsoft Office. So If your team is stretched across billing and admin, send me a message or an invitation with a short description of your workflow and where it keeps getting stuck. I'll tell you honestly where I can help. Available to save you 10 - 15 hours every week and across time zones.
