I am a professional editor, historian, and writer with an Ivy League PhD (in history) and more than five years of experience teaching writing at the college level. For the past six years or so, I have split my time working as an editor supporting other writers and serving as a consulting historian. As a researcher and writer, my freelance work has included writing 10,000-word community histories in support of historic preservation surveys, conducting primary source research and interviews to craft a 25,000-word history of Citigroup's Municipal Securities Division, and serving as a fact and citation checker. I have deep experience working with both online and physical archives and frequently work with both images and text-based sources.
