Looking to leverage data to make smarter decisions and gain a competitive edge? If that’s the case, I may be the talent you’re searching for. Look, the data itself is practically useless. And it’s not a graph or a machine learning model that will make them useful for your decision-making. For me, the main goal of a data scientist is to translate data into insights that you can actually use. The goal is not to create a fancy dashboard. The goal is to give you the right insight so you’ll make better decisions. That’s why I always start with you, you, YOU! Here’s how I tackle every new project: 1️⃣ Understand your goals and business. 2️⃣ Research competitors and current solutions. 3️⃣ Collect the data needed for the project. 4️⃣ Explore the data. 5️⃣ From this on… it highly depends on the project. Now, I won’t start talking about how I have 7+ years of experience like everyone else claims on Upwork. I've got 2.5 years of experience in data science, and some more in statistics. Yet, do you know why I’m pretty confident in my skills? Because of my philosophy; “pay yourself first.” It means the first 1 or 2 hours of the day belong to my self-improvement. Be it through courses, a book, a boot camp (mainly from IBM or O'Reilly)… I don’t go to sleep if I’m not better than when I woke up. And when you compound those daily hours… the yearly improvements are outrageous. Anyway… Before telling you my specialties, here’s why I may NOT be a good fit for you: ❌ You need an Excel project. (For me it’s just outdated software.) ❌ You need a project in R. (My specialty is Python, not R.) ❌ Deep Learning Algorithms. (That needs a team, not just me) Ok, now, here are my specialties: ✅ Web scraping. ✅ Data visualization using Python and Dash. ✅ Machine learning models with Python (principally scikit-learn, XGBoost, AutoML). ✅ Data cleaning. ✅ Statistic. ✅ Discover hidden relationships and insights in your data. And the most important of all… ✅ Problem solving. “But everyone says to be good at problem solving,” you may say. Just know this: about 7 years ago, I took part in the National Olympiad of Mathematics. Do you know how good I was at mathematics? Just slightly above average. Yet, with my “creative solutions” (the professor called them) I reached the National Olympiad of Mathematics. Listen… I cannot assure you that I know how to solve every problem that arises.
