My name’s Joey and I’m a Copy/Screenwriter based in NYC with a tendency to over-share, a vividly overactive imagination, and an undying aim to leave this world a little bit better than how I’d found it. That sounds dramatic, I know, but hear me out… My Why: At a moment in time where it seems the world has set a burning torch to the soles of its own feet, the stories we tell strengthen the truth that “we are more alike…than we are unalike”. With Angelou’s words in mind, I see storytelling as one fo the most effective ways to inspire empathy and a remedy for those with the inability to see the humanity in others (seemingly) unlike themselves. My What: While I have a soft spot for stories that shed light on the narratives and voices of underrepresented communities, specifically BIPOC and my fellow LGBTQIA+ unicorns, to my earlier point, I believe all (most) stories have the ability to move the needle, and I look forward to helping you bring them to life.
