Lauren D.

Experienced editor who adores storytelling and specialises in fantasy, sci-fi, romance sagas, and cozy mysteries. With an MA in Publishing and 4+ years of experience, I am an extremely competent editor. From editing 50+ books, I have experience with trade and academic editing, working on both SFFH, romance, and cozy mysteries, as well as academic and non-fiction titles. I have experience in copyediting, proofreading, developmental editing, along with copywriting and ghostwriting. Currently, I work for one of the UK’s largest, and most successful, indie publisher of genre fiction. I am deep within the publishing industry and can use my skills proficiently and to a high degree. My BA in English and MA have provided me with great grammar and writing skills. I adore reading and bringing stories to life. I love the idea of delving into this new challenge and putting my current skills to the test to make amazing book flourish. I thoroughly enjoy reading SFFH, sagas, and cozy mysteries and bring my passion for storytelling to every editing project. I also love helping authors find their voice, especially those under-represented in the industry.
