Current resident physician (MD) in otolaryngology- head & neck surgery (ENT) with a strong interest in serving and mentoring the next generation of college/ graduate school applicants. As an undergraduate at the University of Pennsylvania I pursued a BA in history while completing pre-medical requirements. My education taught me how to be an effective writer and communicator. These skills were further augmented during my pursuit of my MD degree where I learned to work and study tirelessly in taking care of patients and communicating with their families. My approach to working with students is largely based on getting to know my students such that we ensure that we are fully communicating the student's voice in a way that is cohesive and persuasive in their essays. In addition to strengthening application materials, I aim to review the student's writing and provide meaningful feedback in a way that helps students become stronger writers and critical thinkers. My experience going through college admissions, medical school admissions and matching into one of the most competitive surgical subspecialties in the United States has also given me valuable insight in how to build an overall strong application and how to interview effectively.
