Julieta L.

GIS Analyst with 11+ years of experience in spatial data management, advanced raster analysis, and professional cartography for reports, research projects, and institutional platforms. I help clients transform spatial data into clear, accurate maps and well-structured GIS datasets. I specialize in organizing and maintaining GIS databases, ensuring data quality, and producing effective cartographic visualizations for analysis and communication. I have extensive experience with ArcGIS Desktop, ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Online, and ArcGIS Enterprise, as well as SQL Server, Microsoft Access, and Excel. My work also includes spatial data processing, raster analysis, and creating maps from diverse datasets such as shapefiles, coordinate tables, and survey data. I also use R for data analysis and visualization, and have basic knowledge of Python and Google Earth Engine for geospatial workflows. Previously, I worked at the National Geographic Institute of Argentina as part of the Institutional Geographic Database Administration team. In that role I contributed to municipal Spatial Data Infrastructure projects, managed geospatial metadata, and participated in the national metadata working group of IDERA. I hold a Bachelor's degree in Geography and I am currently pursuing a Master's degree in Integrated Water Resource Management at the University of Costa Rica. Beyond technical GIS work, I am interested in cartography as a communication tool and enjoy exploring the intersection between mapping and visual design. Argentinian currently based in Costa Rica.
