I lead engineering for Microsoft Copilot Studio's UI services, the platform 230,000+ organizations use to build AI agents, on Microsoft's Power Platform used by millions. I bring that same standard to your project. Most AI projects stall between a promising demo and something people rely on every day. I've spent 13+ years closing that gap: conversational AI at Nuance, AI agents at Microsoft, and machine learning on devices in the field. WHAT I DO • AI agents and copilots: Copilot Studio, Power Platform, Azure OpenAI, and custom agents and workflows that work with your business data • Fractional AI or engineering leadership: AI adoption plans, AI-assisted development for your team, architecture reviews, hiring • MVPs, designed and built: product UX by my design partner (8 years, including Fidelity), full-stack engineering by me (TypeScript, React, Node.js, Python) • Marketing websites, fast: with my experience and AI-assisted workflow, most marketing sites are complete or review-ready within 48 hours • Edge ML and devices: computer vision and anomaly detection on Raspberry Pi in C++ and Python • Project rescue and technical reviews: find what's broken, stabilize it, and get it shipping TRACK RECORD • Principal Engineering Manager at Microsoft: lead engineering for all of Copilot Studio's UI services (230,000+ organizations, including 90% of the Fortune 500); on the founding team of Copilot Studio's new experience built on the GitHub Copilot harness • Invented an internal AI agent platform that turns weeks of incident, accessibility, and compliance work into days • Built an LLM-powered testing service that saved millions of dollars in vendor costs, at $40 per 100-scenario run • Led engineering for Nuance Mix, a conversational AI platform with $200M in annual recurring revenue; ran a 25-engineer organization across four countries • Shipped thermal anomaly detection on dual-sensor cameras deployed to hundreds of Florida power substations HOW WE WORK A small team with senior hands. You work directly with me, plus our designer when the project needs UX. Short discovery call, a written plan with milestones, weekly demos, and clear handoff docs. Based in New Hampshire, working Eastern time. Independent work, not on behalf of Microsoft. Tell me what you're trying to ship. I'll tell you honestly whether I'm the right fit.
