Hardik P.
Technical Project Manager
I started my career as a lecturer at a polytechnic college. I started my journey as an Android developer around 5 years ago, where I started by making an Android application for online teaching called Youth e-learning, which was my very first Android project. Apart from that, I started working as a full-time android developer in March 2020 at Canopas software. I started working on a Project called LuxeRadio (Morocco-based Music application ) which is following MVP (Model View Presenter) architecture pattern. After that, I switched to another project called Togness (a Slide show maker app) worked for around one year and contributed to making the Togness app mature (also redesigned the app as well as provided tablet support). During working on LuxeRadio and Togness learned concepts like DI (Dependency Injection using Dagger and Koin), Unit testing, image libraries like Glide, Coil, exoplayer etc. All of the above apps (Youth e-learning, LuxeRadio and Togness) followed Imperative UI (Which involves having a separate prototype/model of the application’s UI). project from scratch and learned Jetpack compose (Declarative UI) at the same time, it helped me to integrate Google sign-in into the Android app, DI using Hilt. Then after I switched to another Declarative UI-based (Jetpack compose) application called Justly app (which basically focuses on overcoming Loneliness and Depression). Currently, I am working on the same project and it is a quantum leap for me. I learned lots of new stuff like In-App purchases, App modularization for a few. At the same time, I was assigned the role of Team Lead hence it also helped me to manage the developers' team of 3 members. Of the 3 members, I trained 2 of them and help them to enhance their skills as Android developers. After a few months of my Joining, i also started writing tech Blogs on Medium and completed around 10+ articles till today. I have written articles on various topics like RxJava, Dependency injection using Hilt, version catalog for effectively managing dependencies, retrofit effective error handling, various types of Animations, things to consider while testing the application and infinite auto-scroll in lazy lists in jetpack compose. Also, I have experience in preparing an Android stack weekly (a newsletter on new development and updates of the Android universe curated by the Canopas team, delivered every Monday.) that helped me track latest updates available on Android and Kotlin.
