I pay close attention to the details that make these products work: how much space a user needs to write, how exercises should be grouped, how repeated sections stay consistent without feeling repetitive, how hierarchy guides the reader, and how typography and spacing affect the overall experience. My process is divided into three clear phases: Phase 1 — Initial Design Direction After reviewing the content, audience, publishing requirements, and any visual references, I design a small set of key pages first. This allows us to agree on the typography, hierarchy, spacing, colors, writing areas, and overall direction before the full project is built. Phase 2 — Full Design Once the direction is approved, I build the complete publication using the agreed system. I adapt layouts where needed so different types of content still feel connected, while giving each page the space and structure it needs. Phase 3 — Revisions & Final Files I work through the final feedback, check the publication for consistency, and prepare the files for the intended platform or printer. This includes print-ready PDFs, digital versions, and source files when required. I work primarily in Adobe InDesign, with Illustrator and Photoshop when needed, and regularly prepare files for Amazon KDP, IngramSpark, commercial printers, offset printing, paperback, hardcover, spiral binding, wire binding, and digital distribution.
