Rachel H.

Hello there! I am currently pursuing my Master’s degree in English and Creative Writing. I graduated in 2021 with my BS in Biology, but I decided to change paths. I have a passion for the natural world, photography, and writing. My experience is virtually all in animal care, as you can see in my work history. I have interned at both a wildlife rehabilitation facility and a zoo. I am also currently employed as a pet care specialist at PetSmart, where I care for a wide variety of animals and educate customers about caring for their pets. I have owned pets my entire life and am knowledgeable about aquariums. In my academic career, I have gained experience in Microsoft Office and Google Suites. I also have experience with light photo editing and translating complex ideas into a simpler format that anyone can understand. I am frequently called on by friends to edit and proofread their essays, helping with organization, grammar, and syntax. I have been praised for my writing ability throughout my life, and I am hoping to gain meaningful experience to build my resume and portfolio as a professional writer. Thank you for your time, and I look forward to working with you!
