I'm a mechanical engineer graduated for Universidad Técnica Federico Santa María (Chile), with a PhD in Mechanical Engineering from Universidad Carlos III de Madrid (Spain). I have worked in university teching and research in the area of Solid Mechanics, having developed an expertise in Composite Materials, Finite Element Analysis and Computational Mechanics, as shown in a number of published papers listed on Google Scholar, ResearchGate or Scopus. I have lectured in courses for Mechanical Engineering students, such as Statics and Dynamics, Solid Mechanics, Strenght of Materials, Finite Elements and Design of Machine Elements, among others. While working in Spain at University Carlos III of Madrid, I collaborated on a number of projects for the aeronaultical industry, performing Finite Element analysis and simulations of the behavior of aircraft parts under impact (bird impact, ice impact, etc)
