IoT Engineer | Hardware to Cloud, Dashboards & Apps | ESP32, AWS IoT
I take your hardware and turn it into a complete, connected IoT product, from firmware through cloud, dashboards, and apps. Most IoT projects stall in the gap between the device and what the client actually needs to see or do with it. A sensor sends data, but nobody built the dashboard. A prototype works on the bench, but there's no cloud pipeline or app for the people who'll use it. I close that whole gap myself, so you're dealing with one engineer instead of coordinating three. What I build: Firmware & device: Firmware for ESP32, STM32, Raspberry Pi, and Arduino-class hardware, structured to actually run reliably in the field, not just on the bench. Sensor and peripheral integration over UART, SPI, I2C, CAN, RS485. Architecture decisions (task structure, error recovery, reconnection handling) made upfront so the device holds up once it's deployed. Connectivity: WiFi, BLE, LoRa/LoRaWAN, and MQTT, with reconnection logic that survives real network drops instead of failing the first time a device goes offline. Cloud & Data pipeline: AWS IoT Core, MQTT brokers (Mosquitto, EMQX), Node-RED automation, and time-series storage in InfluxDB or PostgreSQL, structured so your data is actually queryable and alerts fire when they should. Dashboards & Apps: Grafana and ThingsBoard for operational dashboards, and full web or mobile apps in React, Next.js, or Vue/Django when the client needs a real interface for their team or customers, not just a chart. Recent work includes vehicle tracking systems, a Raspberry Pi battery management dashboard, IoT automation web apps, and Grafana/InfluxDB monitoring pipelines. Several are in my portfolio. How I work: you tell me what hardware you have and what the system needs to do. I map out the architecture (device, connectivity, cloud, interface) before writing code, build it in milestones you can check in on, and hand over documentation so your team isn't stuck depending on me to maintain it. If you have hardware and need it turned into a working, connected product end to end, send me the details and I'll reply with a clear technical plan within a day.
