Andrei A.
XR Developer - Unity | Unreal | VR | AR | GameDev | CGI | Video
Creative director, XR artist, and technologist working at the intersection of spatial computing, digital twins, and immersive storytelling. I design and build experiences where real spaces, cultural memory, and game-like interaction merge into new formats of documentary, education, and art. Over the past years I’ve been developing large-scale photogrammetry and digital twin projects in Georgia and beyond - from scanning houses, streets, and mountain villages to turning them into interactive VR/XR experiences, narrative “game documentaries”, and living archives. My work often combines real-time engines (Unity/Unreal), gaussian splatting, and custom tools for data and narrative visualization. I started as a self-taught filmmaker and world-builder and gradually moved into spatial computing: VR/AR prototypes, immersive simulations, and virtual “libraries” of places. Along the way I’ve collaborated with artists, cultural institutions, festivals, and startups to: * capture and reconstruct real environments (drones, photogrammetry, LiDAR) * turn them into optimized, interactive experiences for VR headsets and mobile * design story-driven XR formats that feel more like journeys than “demos” * build pipelines and small teams around complex 3D / XR production Current directions I’m focused on: * Digital twins of cities, houses, and cultural spaces * Immersive education formats and XR courses * Narrative and documentary experiments in VR / spatial media * Workflows that connect scanning → processing → real-time engines → exhibition I thrive at the edge of art and technology: designing systems, shaping stories, and helping others see how XR and digital twins can become long-term cultural infrastructure. Open to collaborations on XR projects, digital twin initiatives, VR/AR courses, and immersive installations worldwide.
