I am currently working as a scientific researcher in blood cancer. My role involves planning and conducting laboratory-based/in vitro experiments, writing and editing of research articles, and teaching students. In addition, I previously worked as a freelance English editor for a large publication house. As such, my skills and experience include: - Writing and editing of field-specific articles. - I have co-published articles in peer-reviewed journals. - I have a PhD in cancer sciences. - Currently I plan and organise aspects of multiple simultaneous research projects. - Presentation of scientific research in multiple formats including live seminars, posters and in non-scientific/lay language. - I have recently written (as a primary author) 2 successful grant funding applications. - I attend and organise research-critical activities, such as journal club meetings. Given my strong record of academic writing, project management and a background in scientific research, I believe I am a good candidate to work on writing projects in the sciences/research. I take a flexible approach towards clients' needs and projects and apply attention to detail. I am also well experienced with meeting short deadlines. The services I can offer include proofreading, editing and critical analysis of technical and academic texts, for constructive improvement of written work and upskilling authors' scientific writing skills.
