Julia B.
Scientific Illustration, Data Analysis & Visualization
I am a biotechnologist and molecular biologist with a PhD in Biomolecular Mass Spectrometry. After my PhD, following passion on proteomics and scientific illustration, I started a small bussiness named Skid Visual Science, where I help scientists communicate findings more effectively through beautiful and meaningful figures and visuals. At the moment, I freelance for worldwide clients as a scientific illustrator, (prote)omics data analyst, consultant and scientific writer. In parallel, I also work as a lecturer on Proteomics, associated to Universitat de Vic (Catalonia, Spain). Whether you would like to boost your figures for publication or need some help interpreting or analyzing biological data, I am your person! ♡ I am experienced with omics data analysis (proteomics, peptidomics, metabolomics transcriptomics data). I am experienced using R, (un)supervised clustering, statistical analyses, etc. ♡ I am a deeply creative person, and thus have a passion for making visually appealing figures that will boost your chances to get into your favorite journal! I am specialized on Adobe Illustrator to generate publication-grade figures. ♡ I am also available for consultancy on Proteomics, Molecular biology techniques or experimental desing discussion. ♡ I appreciate open communication and honesty, and I am scrupulous about sticking to the principles of academic integrity.
