Ben L.
Software & Systems Engineer | Go, Python, React, Linux, Fintech, Infra
I'm the engineer you hand a vague requirement to and get a working product back. I work as a technical owner — one person covering what most projects need multiple roles for. That means taking your idea from requirements through architecture, backend, full-stack delivery, infrastructure, deployment, and long-term operations. I've delivered over 20 projects this way, including four years as the sole engineer on a live 4G mobile proxy SaaS platform: Android app, Windows/Linux client software, server infrastructure, customer dashboard, and payment processing — all designed, built, and operated by me. What I deliver: → Backend systems and APIs — Go, Python, RESTful APIs, webhooks, payment pipelines, fintech and telecom integrations (payment card processing, M-Pesa, USSD, SMS gateways) → Full-stack web and mobile — React, Next.js, Node.js, Android, Tailwind CSS → Infrastructure and DevOps — Linux, Docker, Proxmox, AWS, GCP, CI/CD, monitoring and alerting → Data — MySQL, MariaDB, Redis, SQLite → Embedded and IoT — Arduino, ESP32, Raspberry Pi, MQTT, OpenWrt I work best on projects where scope is forming, requirements are still rough, and you need someone who can figure out the architecture and execute it — not just code to a spec. I'm comfortable owning the full thing end-to-end: from the first planning call through deployment and operations. Ideal engagements: web platforms, SaaS backends, fintech or telecom integrations, mobile apps, infrastructure builds, API design, and systems that need to be reliable in production.
