Hey there! I'm Daria, originally from Poland but now rooted in the East End of Long Island, NY. I'm excited to share a bit about my educational background and professional journey with you. I'm proud to say that I hold a Master's Degree in Landscape Architecture from the Warsaw University of Life Science, which I graduated from back in 2011. My diploma was even honored by both the University and the Polish Association of Architects! Plus, that same year, I was a finalist in the 2011 Residential Garden Competition. Talk about a major accomplishment! But my passion for learning didn't stop there. While I was pursuing my degree in Landscape Architecture, I was also studying Psychology. In fact, I completed three out of the required five years for a Master's Degree in Psychology, with a specific focus on Environmental Psychology. This helped me deepen my understanding of how people interact with and respond to the world around them, which has proven to be incredibly useful in my career. After college, I started working on residential design projects in Warsaw before being offered a job with Van den Gronek, which is a registered representative of Van den Berk Nurseries - one of the largest tree nurseries in Europe. For two years, I attended trade shows and work trips to the Netherlands, where I learned so much about the science and architecture of trees and the nursery industry. This experience was invaluable and has greatly inspired my future work. Fast forward to 2014, and I was selected to participate in the Ohio University Program, which brought me to the East End. During my time there, I interned with Summerhill Landscapes and gained a ton of experience with landscape installation and maintenance. This hands-on work proved to be incredibly useful when I later transitioned to working in the studio on design projects. After completing my internship, I was offered a job as a Landscape Designer at Summerhill Landscapes before making the switch to Araiys Design full-time. This period of my career was intense, but it provided me with some of the most unique experiences I've had thus far. Since 2017, I've been working full-time with Araiys Design on many high-end residential projects on the East End. Residential design has always been my focus, and I'm so grateful for the unique opportunities that being on the East End has provided me with. It's truly been a one-of-a-kind professional experience, and I'm excited to see what the future holds!
