I am a metadata librarian, specializing in descriptive and structural metadata and a digital asset manager with nearly 10 years of experience working with various DAMS. I have led the development of several large-scale projects and pride myself on delivering projects with clean, consistent metadata and thorough descriptive taxonomy. I strive for efficiency, using shell and python to make mass edits to large amounts of data and making editing decisions based on patterns discovered within the data. I use excel or OpenRefine to assist in most projects, and am especially proficient at transforming data using those tools. I have experience with several different DAMS and archival repositories, primarily NetX, MediaValet, and Fedora. I prefer to fully manage projects from start to finish, taking time at the beginning of the project to review work needed and and diagnose potential issues, before developing and implementing the most efficient workflow possible.
