𝗗𝗘𝗦𝗜𝗚𝗡𝗦 𝗧𝗛𝗔𝗧 𝗟𝗢𝗢𝗞 𝗚𝗢𝗢𝗗 𝗢𝗡 𝗦𝗖𝗥𝗘𝗘𝗡 𝗕𝗨𝗧 𝗙𝗔𝗜𝗟 𝗢𝗡 𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗦𝗛𝗢𝗣 𝗙𝗟𝗢𝗢𝗥 𝗖𝗔𝗡 𝗖𝗢𝗦𝗧 𝗬𝗢𝗨 𝗗𝗘𝗟𝗔𝗬𝗦, 𝗥𝗘𝗪𝗢𝗥𝗞, 𝗔𝗡𝗗 𝗠𝗢𝗡𝗘𝗬. For the past 8 years, I have provided 𝗦𝗼𝗹𝗶𝗱𝗪𝗼𝗿𝗸𝘀 𝗳𝗮𝗯𝗿𝗶𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗱𝗿𝗮𝗳𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗱𝗲𝘁𝗮𝗶𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗴 services to more than 20 fabrication, welding, manufacturing, and engineering companies across the 𝗨𝗦 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗔𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗮𝗹𝗶𝗮, producing 𝟭𝟱𝟬+ 𝗺𝗮𝗻𝘂𝗳𝗮𝗰𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗲 𝟯𝗗 𝗮𝘀𝘀𝗲𝗺𝗯𝗹𝗶𝗲𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗹𝗲𝘁𝗲 𝗳𝗮𝗯𝗿𝗶𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗱𝗿𝗮𝘄𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗽𝗮𝗰𝗸𝗮𝗴𝗲𝘀. I specialise in 𝘀𝗵𝗲𝗲𝘁-𝗺𝗲𝘁𝗮𝗹 𝗳𝗮𝗯𝗿𝗶𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻, 𝗟𝗩 𝘀𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗰𝗵𝗯𝗼𝗮𝗿𝗱𝘀, 𝗹𝗼𝘄-𝘃𝗼𝗹𝘁𝗮𝗴𝗲 𝘀𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗰𝗵𝗴𝗲𝗮𝗿 𝗮𝘀𝘀𝗲𝗺𝗯𝗹𝗶𝗲𝘀, 𝗲𝗹𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗿𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗹 𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗹𝗼𝘀𝘂𝗿𝗲𝘀, 𝘀𝘂𝗯𝘀𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗸𝗶𝗼𝘀𝗸𝘀, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗳𝗮𝗯𝗿𝗶𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝗮𝘀𝘀𝗲𝗺𝗯𝗹𝗶𝗲𝘀. My work is focused on more than simply producing drawings that look correct on screen. I consider how the design will actually be cut, bent, welded, assembled, and installed before it reaches the shop floor. 𝗪𝗛𝗔𝗧 𝗜 𝗦𝗣𝗘𝗖𝗜𝗔𝗟𝗜𝗭𝗘 𝗜𝗡 • LV switchboards and switchgear assemblies • Electrical substation kiosks and enclosures • Sheet-metal enclosures and components • Switchboard and kiosk base frames • Welded assemblies and sub-assemblies • Structural steel and fabricated components • Complete fabrication drawing packages • DXF flat patterns and manufacturing outputs I have experience working on projects involving 𝗔𝗦/𝗡𝗭𝗦 𝟲𝟭𝟰𝟯𝟵-𝗿𝗲𝗹𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝗟𝗩 𝘀𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗰𝗵𝗯𝗼𝗮𝗿𝗱 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘀𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗰𝗵𝗴𝗲𝗮𝗿 𝗮𝘀𝘀𝗲𝗺𝗯𝗹𝘆 𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗸 and understand the importance of coordinating the mechanical fabrication requirements with the overall assembly. I do not claim to provide electrical certification or certify an assembly's compliance. My role is focused on the 𝗺𝗲𝗰𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗹 𝗱𝗲𝘀𝗶𝗴𝗻, 𝗦𝗼𝗹𝗶𝗱𝗪𝗼𝗿𝗸𝘀 𝗺𝗼𝗱𝗲𝗹𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗴, 𝗳𝗮𝗯𝗿𝗶𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗱𝗲𝘁𝗮𝗶𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗴, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗺𝗮𝗻𝘂𝗳𝗮𝗰𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗱𝗼𝗰𝘂𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 required to produce the physical assembly. --- 𝗪𝗛𝗔𝗧 𝗜 𝗖𝗔𝗡 𝗦𝗢𝗟𝗩𝗘 Is your drafting team overloaded with fabrication drawings? You don't always need another full-time drafter when project workloads increase. I can work as an 𝗲𝘅𝘁𝗲𝗻𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗼𝗳 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗲𝘅𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗱𝗿𝗮𝗳𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗲𝗮𝗺, taking on overflow fabrication drafting when your in-house team is overloaded or when project deadlines are tight. If you already have an approved design reference, GA drawing, sketch, or 3D model, I can take it from there and develop the fabrication documentation needed by your shop. My goal is simple: Increase your drafting capacity without increasing your permanent headcount. --- 𝗠𝗬 𝗪𝗢𝗥𝗞𝗜𝗡𝗚 𝗦𝗬𝗦𝗧𝗘𝗠 I use a structured workflow designed to catch design and fabrication issues before they reach the shop floor. 𝟭. 𝟯𝗗 𝗠𝗢𝗗𝗘𝗟 𝗙𝗜𝗥𝗦𝗧 I create the 3D model from the approved design reference and submit it for review. Models can be provided in STEP, IFC, or 3D PDF formats. 𝟮. 𝗖𝗟𝗜𝗘𝗡𝗧 𝗥𝗘𝗩𝗜𝗘𝗪 & 𝗥𝗘𝗩𝗜𝗦𝗜𝗢𝗡𝗦 I incorporate client comments, design changes, and additional requirements before proceeding to the final documentation. 𝟯. 𝗖𝗢𝗠𝗣𝗟𝗘𝗧𝗘 𝗙𝗔𝗕𝗥𝗜𝗖𝗔𝗧𝗜𝗢𝗡 𝗗𝗥𝗔𝗪𝗜𝗡𝗚 𝗣𝗔𝗖𝗞𝗔𝗚𝗘 Once the design is approved, I can produce: • Main assembly drawings – how welded sub-assemblies are assembled and bolted together • Sub-assembly drawings – how individual parts are welded together • Individual part drawings – dimensions, fabrication details, bend radii, bend locations, tolerances, and flat patterns • DXF flat patterns – for CNC/laser cutting • BOMs – parts, quantities, materials, finishes, and hardware • Exploded assembly views – with balloon callouts • Fabrication reports – including parts lists, bolt lists, and bolt location lists The goal is to provide the shop with the information required to fabricate and assemble the project accurately. 𝟰. 𝗠𝗔𝗡𝗨𝗙𝗔𝗖𝗧𝗨𝗥𝗔𝗕𝗜𝗟𝗜𝗧𝗬 𝗖𝗛𝗘𝗖𝗞 I consider practical manufacturing requirements such as: • K-factor and bend allowance • Bend radii and bend locations • Material thickness • Sheet-size limitations • Bending-machine limitations • Welded vs. bolted connections • Hardware installation • Assembly access and sequence • Flat-pattern accuracy This is where my engineering and fabrication mindset comes into the design. 𝟱. 𝗦𝗬𝗦𝗧𝗘𝗠𝗔𝗧𝗜𝗖 𝗥𝗘𝗩𝗜𝗦𝗜𝗢𝗡 𝗖𝗢𝗡𝗧𝗥𝗢𝗟 Post-release changes are tracked systematically: Rev 0 = initial approved release; Rev 1, Rev 2, Rev 3+ = subsequent post-release revision cycles. Each revision identifies the affected drawings and the reason for change, maintaining a clear history and ensuring the shop always works from the latest approved revision. --- If your drafting team is overloaded, or you have an LV switchboard, electrical enclosure, sheet-metal, or fabrication project that needs additional drafting capacity, I can help you get the work done!
