Native English speaker educated to PhD level (Universities of Cambridge, Edinburgh and Glasgow). I am an experienced transcriber and proofreader with a background translation. I have a PhD in history and have taught at undergraduate level as well as working as an academic writing adviser, making me particularly well-placed to proofread and edit dissertations, theses and other academic work. I pride myself on my ability to undertake extensive terminological research in virtually any field, ensuring a high degree of accuracy whether in the context of transcription or proofreading. My extensive background in modern foreign languages further expands the range of texts (written or audio) with which I am able to work (I speak French and Spanish and have also studied a range of Romance, Germanic, Slavic and Celtic languages to varying levels).
