I help property management companies solve accounting problems, use AppFolio to its full potential, and build processes their teams can actually use. I have 15+ years of hands-on property management experience and 9 years as a daily AppFolio power user. I hold a Bachelor of Liberal Arts in Business Administration from Louisiana State University Alexandria, with coursework focused on Accounting and Economics. I currently manage accounting for a multi-entity residential and commercial portfolio, supervise maintenance operations, and provide fractional controller support to property management companies that need experienced financial oversight without a full-time controller. Because I also work across maintenance, leasing, vendors, and tenant operations, I understand the business behind the accounting. That makes it easier to identify where problems originate, trace discrepancies through the general ledger, bank activity, tenant and owner transactions, vendor bills, historical entries, and system settings, and correct the issue at the source. I led my company’s AppFolio migration from preparation through go-live and continue to manage settings, workflows, troubleshooting, and system improvements. I also focus on newer AppFolio AI and automation tools, including Smart Bill Entry, online payables, Realm-X Assistant, and Realm-X workflows. I train property management teams on AppFolio accounting, operations, workflows, and new features. I also help companies simplify processes, eliminate unnecessary duplicate work, and keep more of the business inside AppFolio when AppFolio can support it.
