John S.

Hi! I'm John Sawyer, a Post Production professional currently working as a Freelance Editor/Motion Graphic Designer/VFX Artist. You can read more about me below if you'd like... As an award-winning post-production expert with over 15 years of experience in editing, motion graphic design, and visual effects. My career has taken me across advertising, entertainment, experimental, and political media, crafting everything from national campaigns to viral digital content. I’ve had the privilege of collaborating with some of the most talented minds and brands in the industry—from The Second City on digital shorts to global ad campaigns for Capital One, FENTY, State Farm, Skittles, and Miller Lite (to name a few), and even working with David Axelrod at AKPD on the Obama Campaigns. As a lead editor and motion designer at DDB and BBDO, I’ve crafted high-profile work that’s aired during the Super Bowl, March Madness, and the NYE Ball Drop in Times Square. My work is everywhere—national TV spots, Times Square billboards, social media campaigns, feature films, digital shorts, independent films, and even planetariums. If you’ve passed through a major airport, seen an ad in a taxi, or scrolled through a meme dump on Reddit, chances are you’ve seen something I’ve worked on. At my core, I’m a storyteller with a deep understanding of visual communication, comedic timing, and emotional impact. Whether it’s feature films, episodic series, commercials, independent projects, or social media content, I bring the same level of creativity and precision to every project. Currently, I’m freelancing with a couple internal production teams, bringing fresh, bold, and inspiring content to their global teams, but looking for a permanent place to call home. I believe that the most impactful stories are those that connect with people on a personal level, and I strive to infuse authenticity and emotion into everything I create. My goal isn’t just to make work that’s seen—it’s work that’s remembered. Let’s make something exceptional together. Visit: jspostpro.com for more information and content.
