Allen R.

I love helping students to accomplish their goals -- and I've got a rare set of credentials to prove it. Because I fell in love with teaching after becoming a lawyer, I can bring you skills and strategies related to both of those worlds. * I'm a tutor with 15+ years of experience in SAT and ACT test prep, as well as work on college essays and applications. After I earned perfect SAT scores and a National Merit Scholarship, I realized how much I enjoyed helping others to succeed. I'll work with you on all parts of both the ACT and SAT, whether you're starting from scratch or striving for elite scholarships. * I'm a high school teacher with 15+ years of experience in helping students with AP Government, U.S. History, study skills, and organization. One-on-one work with students is enormously fulfilling, and I've found real success in improving writing and understanding. Want to earn an A and a 5 on the AP exam? I've got your back. * I'm also a licensed attorney with 15+ years of experience tutoring the LSAT and teaching criminal law. I can help you prepare for the Multistate Bar Exam, or talk about the details of constitutional law as you learn. I've stayed sharp, doing legal work even while I teach -- and judging arguments at the University of Virginia School of Law. I'm looking forward to working with you! I'm flexible to your needs and learning style, and I know that the best learning comes along with a sense of joy and creativity.
