Melissa B.

I have experience in multiple styles and mediums. Much of my work is hand created artwork and illustration. I can however upload these works onto the computer, color correct and create certain files upon request. Sorry, I Do Not use AI, digital painting or use vectors in my work. I absolutely adore illustration drawing especially for children’s books. I draw in both pencil and ink. I also have vast experience in painting with acrylics and oils. However, what I am currently known for is my artwork painted in coffee. (Yes COFFEE). My work has been described as thoughtful towards the subject maters emotions along with its movement. I have extensive experience in window painting, wall murals, chalkboards and signs. Both for Commercial use and Residential. I feel that this is where my years of experience in illustration and layout stems from. it also helped to put me through school where received TWO Bachelor of Art degrees. Much of my work focuses on the human figure and animals especially while they are in motion. However, as of late, I have developed quite a fond fascination to architectural design, color theory and perspective angles. I get a big kick out of creating a piece of work that features something old, odd or awkward within it. Celebrating age, flaws and happy mistakes rather than constantly obsessing and grasping for perfection. - I enjoy a challenge and I’m always willing to learn something new. - I'm known to possess a rich creative mind and a hard work ethic. - I work well with others but also do well independently. - Communication is important to me. - The majority of my work is hand drawn or painted. I Don’t Do Digital Art… however I can upload my work digitally should it be needed for print or publishing.
