Over the course of my 15-year teaching career, I have had the privilege of imparting knowledge and fostering a love for mathematics in a diverse range of students. My experience spans various educational settings both local and overseas, including middle schools, high schools, and online platforms, providing me with a well-rounded perspective on effective pedagogical approaches. During my tenure as a math educator, we have consistently achieved outcomes in student learning with collaborative help from my colleagues . I have had the opportunity to join the MathQuest program which helped me design and implement innovative and engaging lesson plans, activities, and assessments that cater to diverse learning styles, ensuring that every student has the opportunity to excel. I also received some recognition such as the “Superintendent Excellence Award” and a nomination for “Teacher of the Year” back in 2021. My commitment to fostering critical thinking and problem-solving skills has resulted in improving standardized test scores and improved classroom performance which I believe will be helpful to this project if given the chance. Throughout my teaching career, I have embraced technological advancements and adapted my teaching methods to incorporate digital tools and resources. This adaptability has been particularly valuable in recent years especially during the pandemic , as I have successfully transitioned to online teaching, ensuring that my students continue to receive a high-quality math education regardless of the learning environment. My commitment to lifelong learning is not limited to my current academic pursuits. I hold a Bachelor of Secondary Education, Major in Mathematics, Teaching Certification in Mathematics in the state of Arkansas and currently pursuing my masters degree in Educational Management. This foundational education and further studies in mathematics and education has equipped me with a deep understanding of the subject matter, enabling me to convey complex mathematical concepts to students in a clear and accessible manner which I could use and apply in this project. In summary, my 15 years of teaching experience and ongoing educational management studies have equipped me with a wealth of knowledge and practical skills in mathematics education. These experiences have not only shaped my teaching philosophy but also reinforced my dedication to providing students with a high-quality education that prepares them for success in mathematics and in the real world.
