Katherine K.

I specialise in presentation, editorial, and document design systems that combine strategic visual communication with refined, high-end design. Based in South Africa, I work across both the design and architectural industries, currently working part-time as an architect at SAOTA — an experience that has deeply influenced my approach to layout, composition, storytelling, and visual refinement. With a background in architecture and graphic design, I bring a strong understanding of hierarchy, typography, grid systems, and visual communication across both Adobe Creative Suite and Microsoft Office platforms. I work across: • PowerPoint presentations and master templates • Editorial and publication design • Word document systems and templates • Pitch decks and proposal documents • Educational and training resources • Reports, guides, and branded publications • Architectural and Real estate design presentations • CV / Resumé design Technical Skillset • Microsoft PowerPoint • Microsoft Word • Adobe InDesign • Adobe Illustrator • Adobe Photoshop My design approach is clean, sophisticated, and editorially driven with a strong focus on clarity, consistency, and thoughtful use of typography, spacing, imagery, and colour. I particularly enjoy transforming dense or outdated material into polished, easy-to-navigate visual systems that feel professional, cohesive, and engaging. Beyond creating visually strong layouts, I also build reusable template systems that help organisations maintain brand consistency across presentations, reports, training resources, and internal documentation. Whether you need a refined presentation deck, publication layout, or fully branded document ecosystem, I focus on creating work that is visually compelling, strategically structured, and built for long term usability.
